Liebster Award

Okay, time to come out of my hermitage and actually participate a little bit in the blogging world. Thank you Laura  for throwing me in at the deep end. I need this! This is mainly a reviewing blog, but today's a bit different.

Right, here are The Rules:

1. Provide a link back to the blogger who nominated you
2. Post 11 random facts about you
3. Answer 11 random questions set by the blogger who nominated you
4. Nominate 11 bloggers with under 200 followers for the award (excluding who nominated you) with 11 questions for them to answer.
5. Let the nominees know that you have nominated them

So, here's your Facts about me:

1.  I have my Grade 6 Piano - but if you asked me to play something at a party the only thing I could knock out would be the half of 'River flows in you' that I bothered to learn, or the half of 'Always a woman' (Billy Joel) that I bothered to learn. Not all that impressive.

2. Me and my mum have the same first and middle name, but different surnames. This makes me 'Little Cath' to the majority of my family - not sure how I feel about being referred to this way by six year olds.

3. I went to Judo for a few years when I was younger, always really enjoyed it when I was there, but dreaded it all week before-hand.

4. I also did Line-dancing all through my teenage years - we had a 'kids table' in the corner of the hall and used to order 'the usual' J2o from the bar before we went in.

5. I have two younger sisters called Rosina and Genevieve - names that I recently realised I am quite jealous of.

6. My proudest academic achievement is my 2 A's and an A* at A level - although this does make things awkward in job interviews, since people judge my university choice. I wanted to do Creative Writing, okay? And I have no regrets about Bangor, I loved it there.

7. I have never met anyone that could out-do me on Harry Potter (book) trivia. A big claim, I know. Having a rest from the books for the moment, trying to go a few years without reading one to make them fresh again.

8. When I was little I had a bit of a Robin Hood obsession. Even now, the film that will always cheer me up when I'm down is the old version with Errol Flynn. How can this not cheer you up? (disclaimer: not my video, I just love it.)

9. The book I'm reading at the moment is 'Testament of Youth' by Vera Brittain. It's a true story, and it's making me angry about all this WW1 stuff on at the moment, where people are still saying that the War was necessary. If one more character dies, I swear I don't know how I'm going to cope.

10. I have a cat called Thomasina, who was named after we saw the Disney film as kids. It's such an underrated film, if you ignore that weird bit where she's in cat heaven.

11. This year I went to my first ever concert. It was Taylor Swift, and she was amazing.

Right that's done. So My Questions to answer were:

1. If you went on Come Dine With Me what would your menu be?
I think Onion Soup, Macaroni Cheese and then Eton Mess (a nice easy one) for pudding.

2. What is your earliest memory?
Getting a doll's house for my third birthday. It was in my mum and dad's room with a blanket over it, and there was yellow furniture made of Duplo inside, as temporary furnishings.

3. What is your dream job?
I think it'd be writing TV adaptations for the BBC. I'd make all my favourites.

4. Indian or Chinese food?
Chinese, every time.

5. What is your most cringe-worthy moment?
Definitely not my most, but I remember being really embarrassed in a swimming lesson when I was about eight or nine, when I'd forgotten to remove a huge Bulbasaur temporary tattoo from my thigh, that I'd randomly tried out the night before.

6. What is the most romantic thing you've done?
Turns out I'm really not that romantic :( I think it would have to be making my boyfriend a Game of Thrones cushion for his birthday. He's really hard to buy for.

7. Favourite type of biscuit?
I suppose I can't say Jaffa Cakes since they're not definitely biscuits. I'd say those fancy ginger biscuits you can get with chocolate on.

8. Would you rather have hands for feet or have your head on backwards?
Hands for feet would be less inconvenient, except you'd have to get special shoes made.

9. What do you call one of these?

A batch. Is this exclusively a Wirral thing? Merseyside?

10. What do you consider to be your best feature?

I'm very laid back, which means I don't get stressed often or make things difficult. It's my worst feature as well, because it means I get nothing done.

11. You start a new game of Pokemon, do you choose fire, water or grass type?
Never played Pokemon, just watched it. But grass.

Okay, your turn now - I hope you don't mind a nomination from a total stranger.  (p.s I know I didn't get to 11, but it's more difficult than you think!)
I nominate:

Julie D and Alanna - Bloggers Heart Books
Sarah - A Little Bit of Literature
Laura - Pale Girl Reviews
Andrea Jane - Lovely Films
Katy - From Books to Films
Amanda - 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die

So here's Your Questions:

1. If you could marry any fictional character, who would you pick?
2. Jeans or leggings?
3. What was your favourite childhood T.V show?
4. What is your go-to Karaoke song?
5. If you were on mastermind, what would be your specialist subject?
6. What's your favourite season of the year?
7. If you could live in any historical era, (other than this one) which one would you choose?
8. Frodo, Sam, Merry or Pippin?
9. Which Disney character are you most like?
10. What is the most random situation that you've ever found yourself in?
11. What would be your last meal on death row?

Anyway I hope you have fun, and have a look at my blog if you have time. Enjoy!
